Hello there, my brother and I have had two wild caught true percs hosting in a hammer coral for about a month and a half now. two days ago the hammer (has about 28 heads) has started bleachign and can be seen spitting out brown stuff every once and a while (guessing it is the beneficial algae that is used for photosynthesis and makes the coral colored) My question is do the clownfish cause hammers to spit out their algae or do they cause them just to shrink up. We also did a tank cleaning and mixed up some new calcium and magnesium for dosing in the tank. Do you think its the clownfished fault or the new mixes/ stree of the tank cleaning? Thanks for all your help, the clowns are doing great now just not the hammer.
