Hammer coral and flow

Just curious if it is normal to see the hammer's "mouth" like this? It has been this way since I got it (first coral, and about 4-5 weeks ago). Is it in too much flow or okay? uploadfromtaptalk1443631374235.jpg

It "may" be a bit too much flow, but, the coral looks good, so i wouldn't worry about it for now.
Watch it though.
What I generally do is put my euphyllia in a location where they get an "up" current rather than a side current.
And i generally don't put them in the sand, usually mid tank.
But again, that's all dependent on your lights.
And don't have any reservations about moving a coral.
If you think a coral is not happy, just move it, you can always move it back.
I'm always moving things around.
I have one like yours, but mine was bleached and in sad shape when I got him.
He's coming around now though.

Guys, not a joke but after three weeks in the tank mine is the hiding to, the rest of corals r just fine. May be its a weather change?

Mine likes enough flow so that it gently moves around with a little cascade deal going on amongst the individual hammers.
