So I just put this hammer coral into my tank. Temp acclimated, dripped it, dipped it and then put it in my tank. I shook it during the dip as per the instructions. It looked fine before the dip. After the dip it is now excreting this weird bluish clear slime. Is it going to die now? Where'd I mess up...thought I was doing everything right.

Does it look like it is detaching from the skeleton? is there any movement of the tentacles?

I would start by turning down/off the lights...

detaching from the skeleton? how would I tell the difference between that and the tentacles just extending...slime seems to be lessening slightly.

better but it maybe too much flow for it the tentacles should move in a more natural way not forced like they are now. glad it recovered

I clipped the AC70 impeller which greatly lowered the flow. Will post a video later but thanks a ton for your help. I think it's looking good!!!

It looks shocked. Did you test the water it came in and compare it to your tank water? How long did you acclimate it for?

I believe the drip/dip of the coral caused the shock...i dripped it over the period of 30 minutes and then dipped for 10. Does the most recent video I posted still look shocked?
