Hammer Coral not Opening...

Hi,

just wondering....if there is any problem with my hammer...
it open up for 2 to 3 days after i got it back from the LFS...

then it slowly open up less and less....

is there any issues with it...
current wise is middle flow....
i put it in the middle level of the tank...


water parameters wise
Kh - 9.9dkH
Cal - 490
Mg - 1350

PO4 - 0
No3 - 10
No2 and NH4 - 0

should i do a coral dip for it....

I would move it to the bottom of the tank in medium flow to start of with I had to do that with mine as it did not like going strait in at the middle. Give it time to settle at the bottom and it should open up soon enough.

I would not dip it if no signs of disease it will only stress it more.

Absolutely put it in the substrate. They like lower light and low flow kind of gentle flow.

+1, way too much light. For the most part it's always a good idea to start new arrivals on the sandbed.

Just took a vid of my hammer showing the sort of flow mine likes and it's in the corner of the tank it does get light but not beaming down on it hopefully seeing how mine moves will help with placing yours

Yep that's about right in all aspects of placement. Looks good.
