Hammer Coral (Questions)

First off, I got a frag of a hammer about a month ago. Definitely would like to say, the hammer has expanded dramatically and it's doing fantastic.

Question 1: Some of the (tentacles?) are still of only a pink color, while others have pink with neon green heads. On some of them, it looks as if the (tentacle/head?) is half green/pink as if it's getting its color back. When I got it, it had several (tentacle/heads) as the pinkish. My question is, would it be possible for the color to come back? Or is it more likely that I'm losing color?

As you can see, the top 2 heads, which started off as one, are pretty good with the green and look awesome. It's the bottom head that is half pink and half green.

Question 2: Might be hard to explain without a photo, don't really have one of it at the moment. But in any effort, there is something coming out of the base that almost looks like an ingrown pimple, or cyst that needs to pop. I've searched google for awhile and I keep coming up on threads with "bubbles" in and around the heads, but that is nothing like what mine has. If possible, I'll try and get a photo tomorrow. (I know I've seen this in some forum a couple weeks ago and I think I remember someone saying something along the lines of it being a worm maybe?)

It's a bi color hammer, it's totally normal and one of my favorites. Second question is kind of hard to answer with out a pic.

Question number 2 is likely a budding of the hammer coral. It will eventually grow miniscule tentacles and just sort of chill out there. These little buds can sometimes survive if the main heads above are killed, although they will not grow significantly until that happens. Look at them as the coral making itself an insurance policy ;)

Awesome, I figured it was different because I also have another head sprouting in between all 3. The one in the middle has tiny tentacles and it's actually really funny watching it extend and retract it's polyps.

Well, I just went to go take a picture and it's not there anymore... In the process of moving the coral, I found 3 areas that look like its sprouting new heads.

New question: I've noticed my hammer has taken a liking to the pellet food I feed my fish (Full life spectrum). Is this normal? Is it healthy for them to eat this?

I bought brine shrimp for a switch up in food for the fish, but mainly for the coral... But it seems to like the pellets more.

Opinions?

(The couple of answers I found on Google didn't seem to reliable.) I'm going to guess that I'm thinking and analyzing into it way to much, however I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Mine all love pellets also, just keep an eye on your calcium, mag., etc. When they eat they grow faster and will deplete all of them faster.
