hammer coral

two days ago i purchased a branching hammer coral. The first two days in the tank he looked fine, but this morning he isn't expanding at all, he's completely retracted... Should I be worried? Is there anything i can do for him?

might wanna try reducing your flow. Sometimes they will retract when the flow is too high... Also, check your calcium and Alk levels, make sure they are in check.

it acts almost like it was a burn, but that's impossible, seeing as how he was just under two vho's and some power compacts. even if he was right under them, could that have burned him? If so, will he snap out of it?
