Hammer Coral

Hey i just picked up my self a hammer coral with 4 heads. It is doing great in my tank, has been in there for 4 days and looks good. But i wanted to know what i can feed it to make it grow faster and how do i go about feeding it?

I use tweezers and feed my hammer/torch/frogspawn pieces of krill. They love the stuff..you have to hold it there a sec but they grab it pretty quick and suck it in.

Do you feed it with lights on or off?

lights on, mine retracts when the lights are off

So does mine, but i ussually hear that people feed them at night and i couldn't see howthey did because mine is alway's closed up at night.

I feed mine with lights on...they do draw up at night but that just means there mouths are and easier target..if you have moon lights its not an issue..or you can have someone hold a flashlight for you...good luck..

all you feed is pieces of krill?

That is all I have been feeding and what ever it can get from the water..brine shrimp etc...

Tonight I crushed up a piece of krill and mixed it with my flakes. The fish ate some but the corals in the tank got some as well.
