Hammer Growing a Bubble

Is this normal? Just noticed this today. The other heads seem fine but this one developed a bubble where the mouth should be. I've only had this hammer for a couple of months so I'm not sure if this is normal. Anyone have any clues?

Yep. Euphyllias do that sometimes when they're organizing a new head. It's growing. Keep its calcium up (I do very well with these at the params in my sig line] and you'll have a larger one.

You'll see this happen often once it continues to branch. 2 turns to 4, 4 to 8, 8 to 16, etc...Before I tore down my tank before moving I had a hammer that started out as 2 heads and was about 35 heads in ~2 years.

splitting it will act very wierd for a couple of months keep up whatever you are doing it likes it
