I recently got a branching hammer from a local reefer. It is in a 125g under 2-250w MH and 4-t5's. It has low to moderate flow. It has opened up and looks good except that not all of the tips of the tentacles are green. Some of them are really bright green and the others have no green at all. Could this be because it is getting too much light or does it just need time to adjust? It has been in my tank for about 1 week.

parameters:
salinity = 1.025
ph = 8.1
temp = 80
dkh = 11
NO3 = 15 (I am working on this currently)
calcium = 420
mg = 1250

Moderate light and definitely not directly under the halides. Mine does best towards the bottom of my tank with low flow. I have an icecap 4 bulb vho t5 set up. Your pic also looks like a frogspawn, but maybe it looks a little different in person. Here is a pic of my wall hammer:

I moved the hammer down toward the bottom of the tank. It is on the left on the tank now, toward the bottom if you want to reference my picture. I am going to try it there for a few days.

serum153 - It does look a little different in person. Hopefully now that I moved it, it will do better.
