Hammer placement

Just got a small frag today. I have a 38 nuvo with a decent led light. I have read they don't like intense lighting. My rocks go uP about half way in my tank and the light is 4" above tank. Should i go with him on the sand bed or up high?

iF it's a non dimmable LED setup. I would start out as low as possible ..In the sand & maybe even a little shaded.
It's better to start out with too little light rather then burn & bleach it with too much light .
Try to place it in a light flow area. so it has a nice sway to the tentacles .. not pinned over with too much flow.

Yeah wasn't responding to well in the sand moved to mid level and hoping I see some extension soon been in there since Sunday.

I have mine up pretty high in my tank on LED's at 65% and mines doing really good. Its grown triple the size since I bought it. I'd maybe try it up high, well low to begin with but then try up high and see how it does.

My led is on a 12 hour day starts at 10% ramps up to 100% mid day then back down in hour increments. I have a dunken, star polyps and zenia all growing like crazy. Very light flown on him but is moving give two more days and see how he is doing.

I got my saturday and he's been doing great in the sand.

Yeah that's my second hammer that died the same way. My Duncan is doing great and of course the softies are growing well. Don't think I have it in me to buy another.
