Hand Feeding Lineatus Wrasse

So I have a big colorful male Lineatus right now, and he's suffering from a swimming bladder problem. He can't keep himself upright, and just gets blown around the tank. I have since put him in my acclimation box to keep an eye on him. He's been having this problem for over a week now.

The last few days, he hasn't been eating, even though I dump some mysis right in his box. So tonight, I tried again....nothing.

Solution? I reached in there and held him, turning him upright, and putting his mouth to some mysis, and he starting eating them. I got him to eat probably 6-7 mysis shirmp. I was pretty happy he ate.

Do you think that if I keep feeding him like this it'll up his chances of being able to swim again? Do you think that a PraziPro treatment would do anything for him?

Sorry to hear about the Lineatus. It is good you were able to get him to eat. As for PraziPro, I would hold off. While it is a fairly safe treatment, I'd be worried to add any more stress at this point.

Let's see what some of the wrasse experts here have to say....

Thanks. I am actually surprised he's still with me, which really wants me to give him more special attention to see if he'll come around. I'll be soaking my food in vitamins every night now to try to help him along.

I'd be ecstatic if I was able to help him and he's able to rebound
