handling zoas?

do your wear glove when glueing/handling zoas?
i read about the issues with fragging them, does this need to be done with "normal" handling?

i personally do not. but most recomend that you do. i have never worn gloves when putting my hands in my tank or when fragging. i do however make sure my hands are not dirty and i rinse them off or wash them really good before i mess with my tank.

when fragging if youhappen to cut yourself and the zoas slime gets into the cut then you could have some problems or if you already have a cut/scratch on your hands or fingers. this is were you really need to were gloves so you make sure not to get any of the toxin in your uts or scratches.

zoas/palys will also squirt sometimes and it is always a good idea to were some sort of googles or face shield to make sure it does not get in your eyes or mouth. believe me when i say it is not fun to get into your eyes.

long story short it is better to be safe then sorry.

I always wear gloves when I am handling any corals. There is a thread on here telling about toxins.
