Hanna Checker Phosphorous Ultra Low Range

I just got one from you and there is a flaw there. After adding the reagent, you have to shake for about two minutes and by the time you are done shaking, the unit shuts down by itself automatically.

I know that for the phosphate checker they have replaced the unit with a 10 minutes shut off fix some time ago.

Wondering whether there is a replacement for the phosphorous checker as well? If yes, why are you still shipping out those flawed units?

This is the first I have heard of this. I will contact Hanna today to see what they say. From an experienced photometer user (been using them for years), I can tell you that if you stop shaking prior to the 2min mark, you will be just fine. However, let me clarify the issue with Hanna to see what they have to say though.

I just spoke with Hanna Instruments. They said it should most likely have a 3 min shutoff time in it, the regular PO4 meter as the 3 min as well, not 10 min. The only 10 min shutoff right now is in the alk checker. Hanna suggested that the next step be that you call their tech support @ 800.426.6287.

Then I have to either shake it less than 2 minutes or use two vials, one for calibration, and the other one for the reagent.
