Hanna Colorimeter testers good bad????

Anyone have these? Good"¦ bad? And how many tests do you get before having to buy more regents?

The one I had worked great and I think it came with either 100 or 200 test reagents before you need to order more.

I have the calcium and alk test kits, and I had some trouble at first. The cuvets that come with the tester (2 each) have wildly inaccurate 10 ml marks, leading to incorrect results. After reading several threads here I started using a 10 ml syringe, and have been getting much better results. I double/triple checked everything with some Red Sea test kits and at the LFS, and everything seems fine. I really like using them, as I have trouble seeing the color change in the titration tests.

They also come with 20 or 25 sets of reagents, and refills are something like $12 for another 25.

Thanks for the input srixon and John. I'm thinking about buying one of each while BRS has 10% off. But before pulling the trigger I thought I'd ask and see what owners in the URS think of them.

based on the fantastic responses from the above thread it seems shared that the ULR model (#736) is the better choice for reefers, though you do have to take the result and multiply by 3.066 and then divide by 1000.

Yea that thread is turning out to be a very informative and a very good read. But wouldn't yea know it when I went to order the other night my internet was down. Still looking at them just going to pay a little more I guess.
