http://reeftankday.com/

This year's Reef Tank Day is on Saturday May 4th, 2013.

Some ways you can observe this great day:

 • Invite a friend over to show off your tank.
 • Join a local saltwater reef club and make some new friends.
 • Visit your local fish store and ask for information and a tour.
 • After doing lots of research, take the plunge and purchase a tank,
 • Pass along information on how to preserve our oceans and coral reefs.
 • Donate your gently used equipment to a school. (offer to help setup)
 • Join one of the many online message forums available and get involved.
 • If you can't locate a club in your town, start one of your own.
 • Help spread the word about this amazing hobby.

Awesome! I was hoping one of the local shops would have a special. I didn't see anything. :(

I will give my tang an extra helping of bloodworms today to celebrate!

I celebrated the day by going to the Grand Canyon and hiking down to the Colorado and then hiking back up to the Rim. It was a great day.

We "rescued" a woman who had collapsed on the trail from dehydration. She was unresponsive when we arrived. 40 minutes later she could talk but not move. If you go into the canyon be sure you drink a ton of water and include electrolytes. I went through about 8 or 9 liters Saturday.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

^^ Like those idiots every summer that go out looking for the Lost Dutchman's gold with only a liter of water, kind of like going out in the snowy mountains with a sweater...
