I've been on this forum for a couple weeks, mostly reading post, making the occasional comment. I have a 40 gallon, livestock reef tank. I'm using a canister filtration system. I have a mated pair of clown fish, 2 fire fish, a foxface, 1 cardinal fish, 1 yellow pilot goby. 1 emerald crab, 3 peppermint shrimp, 2 sand conks, and 1 scallop.
I've recently have had a issue keeping saltwater snails alive, but I think it's just been bad luck, falling from the top of the tank, unseen until it's to late.......
I have some small coral plugs that are doing ok so far, sadly I can't remember the names of them, if anyone looking at my photo can tell me, I'd appreciate the help.
I also have 3 freshwater tanks, a 1.5 gallon & 3 gallon tanks with Beta's in them, and a 10 gallon tank with tetras, and a good size algae eater named George.

It's nice to have you here Lady, welcome! There are a couple of things you should be aware of. Flame scallops are pretty much impossible for us to keep alive in a home aquarium, their feeding requirements are suitable to the home aquarium, if possible I would recommend you return it for store credit. Keep a close watch on you Firefish pair, if they do not quickly form into a mated pair they are likely to fight to the death. As the Foxface matures it will also get quite aggressive, your tank is just not big enough for it. Be very careful if you put your hands in the tank, their barbs are poisonous and will inflict a painful sting! Sorry to convey bad news in regards to your livestock selections, moving foreword please seek advice as to the suitability of livestock before you make a purchase. We all have made livestock mistakes so don't feel bad, but do seek out advice moving foreword.

Thanks for the info. My fire fish must be a mated pair, they're getting along just fine, and I've had them for a number of months. I understand what you're saying about the flame scallop, at one point we thought it was dead, pulled it out of the tank, put it in a dish. Then all of a sudden it started to move. I put tank water in the dish and observed it for a couple hours before placing it back in my tank, since then it's been looking fine. As for the fox face, we'll be careful. So far it's remained shy when weve needed to be in the tank, unlike our female clown fish, now she's aggressive. 😉 I'll work on getting, and posting some close-ups of my corals. I am definitely open to all helpful advice for my reef.

One really good thing about my LFS, they do buy back what isn't working in your tank, or what outgrows it.
