hard brittle nodules

just noticed these brittle hard nodules on the base of my new frags from a lds and on a clam are they troublesome ?

vermetid snails. They can **** off other corals when they shoot out their feeding web. If they are on your plugs/coral try to remove them. They arent TERRIBLE but they can spread rapidly and **** off corals.
