Hard Coral Identification

This is some type of Hard Coral that came on my live rock. I have spoken to a relative who is a very experienced with saltwater care, livestock etc. , but she isn't certain what it is. I started it in the middle of the tank and have since moved it even higher under the halide. It seems to love the bright light and is currently thriving. I have definitely seen some marginal growth in the past month and it appears to be very happy. Could anyone help me identify this coral?

Thank you :)

Ooops - forgot more info - Off white in color, definitely a hard type coral - very hard to touch and not slimy. Each of the little pores may have microscopic little tentacles surrounding the opening. It seems when I feed phytoplankton to the soft corals in the tank that they become a bit more extended.

Not a clear enough photo to say. Would it be possible to get a real sharp image of just a few corallites while all the tissue is retracted?

I will try again this evening and see what my camera will let me do. I have a tripod somewhere and will try to find it also.

Thanks :)

I used a tripod, made sure all lights were off. I was limited on the closeup by my camera. I hope these are good enough :) I touched the coral to get him to retract, but I saw little difference. I would say that there is almost a velvety appearance to surface.

Thanks Dave :) It definitely isn't dead as it is spreading. There was also some dead of the same type on the live rock and there is a major difference in appearance. It is actually an off white color, but my camera doesn't seem to want to take a decent picture through the glass.
