Hardy Anthias

I have a 80 gallon tank, currently holding a fire goby, 2 shrimp, 3 turbo snails, fighting conch.
The next fish on my list are
blenny
royal gramma
blue green chromis
the anthias
pair of clownfish
kole tang

I need to think about what anthias that is pretty hardy compared to other anthhias. I know some of them, but could you give me a list? Also since you are here, will my tank be overcrowded? I also made one section of rocks low so there is more swimming space. Answer me soon. Thanks :)

What are the tank dimensions? What do you have for filtration? What kind of protein skimmer? GFO and GAC reactors? Do you have a refugium? These things play a big part in determining if you will be able to have that many fish. Anthias will put more of a bio-load on the tank than a clown or royal gramma because they need to be fed upwards of 3 times per day.

yes, I have a refugium. And sometime we are also looking into having a automatic feeder. Because I only feed fish 2 times, becuase I am at school, and cannot feed them in the afternoon, also it would be a great help on vacation. The dimensions are 5 ft long 1 ft wide. I do not know what protein skimmer type it is. I have a GFO and GAC reactor.

I would skip the kole tang on your list. They really need more room to turn around. Your tank is going to be a little full so I would recommend only one anthias in total for your tank. For species I would look into lyretail, dispar, ignitus, carryberryi, or resplendent.

Right when you replied to skip the kole tang, I was about to type I was decided to skip the kole tang. I was planning on getting one anthias anyway. Thanks for replying.

You should be good stocking wise. It wouldn't hurt to post your list in the New to the Hobby forum. Click the link and post your list, filtration info, tank size, and amount of sand and rock. You will get great advice!

Lyretail are the hardiest but most Anthias are hardy if you aren't a beginner.

I'd get forget the royal gamma and blenny if it was my choice. I would get 3 anthias, 5 chromis, and the 2 clownfish but that's my preference. I don't like seeing anthias single, I think they look best in a shoal. :spin3:
