Do anthelia, xenia, kenya tree fall under same family ? WHich one is more graceful with pulsing hands? Which one of them can be contained in a rock and that doesnt shed pieces on it s own so that they can flow somewhere and start to spread?

Thanks!!
Kris

Pom Pom xenia is known for pulsing. iodine dosing along with feeding encourages it to pulse more. it doesnt usually shed it's stalks like other xenia but projects its stalks onto nearby rocks and anchors its foot. it grows rapidly and extremely hardy. i got mine on accident on a piece of cured liverock from my LFS just be sure not to let it touch rocks you dont want it spreading to

Avoid the kenya tree if you don't like surprise reproduction. Under the right conditions it only takes a few months for a kenya tree to become a kenya forest. I love them, but it's hard to keep the babies from attaching in bad spots and bothering other corals. I've got several stuck to the glass in one corner of my tank because they dropped in a spot where I didn't see them and they attach pretty much overnight.

Thanks , How about Anthelia , does it spread from the base only or give surprises in unwanted tank corners!?

For now I am gonna look for pom pom xenia!

yea idd def. suggest the pom pom xenia when in a large colony looks really cool i have a 12"x12" colony and all it does is pulse :lmao:

def..go with the pom pom not the regualar pulsing xenia its spreads horribly its overrunning my tank
