Harlequin Shrimp Food

Hey guys i was just wondering what you guys fed your Harlequin shrimps.

Also does anyone have one in a reef tank. how do they do? any pictures?

Echinoderms.

Starfish is all they eat.

I loved mine, had it for about 3 years before it died. Not in a reef tho.

They eat the TUBE feet of starfishes.. but mostly only the ones that has tubes...

so... ALL they eat is the feet or star fish and they leave the rest behind? what do you do throw a star fish in every week or so?

Instead of feeding the entire thing, I cut off a leg every week. After the last leg, I feed the rest of it, the following week. I tried to let the starfish re-grow, but it takes forever. Since it takes so long, I would need multiple ones, so when I come back for the very 1st one I cut, the limbs are grown back.

But I have heard from a select few that a few of them eat other than Echinoderms. If they do, then those were weaned to eat other foods when they were young. Most likely captive bred. Good luck!
