Harlequin shrimp & sexy shrimp

How do harlequins do in the reef tank? I want to get a few for my nano
does anyone here have any expierance with them...pics of them in your tanks???

Go with the sexy shrimp. From my understanding, Harlequins feed only on starfish. So unless you want to be buying starfish for them to eat, I'd go with the sexy shrimp.

A friend of mine has a tank that's literally overrun with little Astera stars. In that situation I'd expect a Harlequin shrimp to be a good choice.

My understanding is I can purchase a choco star. Weekly or biweekly I can cut an arm off the star fish feed them that and the next feeding will be another arm while the star regenerates it's arms...in order to ensure proper growth I think it will work to get a couple stars and do this

clay, that would work if you had a sump. you could getlike 4 stars or more and rotate with the starfish. my pair just ate an entire starfish in 10 days. im going to leave them without a starfish for 1.5 weeks before the next one. i think if i gave them just a leg theyd eat it all in less than a day

im also thinking of just adding sexy shrimp and pom pom crab for my nano to make it an invert tank only, no fish

chocolate chip stars cost me 14.70 with tax, maybe 30 bucks a month is what im estimating
