will they eat anything other than starfish?

it is a cool looking shrimp and i am looking at getting rid of the Asterina stars in my tank as i am moving towards getting my first sps corals. my question is will it die after it eats all the starfish? or will it eat other foods?

and will it eat a serpent star? as my friend was also thinking about getting one but didnt know who would eat who first.....

They will only eat starfish, I'm almost positive they will not eat serpents....I think they eat the tube feet on stars.

I know of some people that just feed them cheap choc. chip stars or keep a couple in the fuge and switch them out every once in a while as the starfish don't kill them right away.

They'll also eat urchins.

CC star-fuge method is the way to go. Make sure you've cultivate the CC stars a ocuple months in advance, however.

most of them wont eat Asterina stars anyway. some will, and some can be "trained" to eat them, but not all of them.

so what will eat Asternia stars? or what will get rid of them? other than the obvious of picking them put of the tank when i see them

Can you explain the CC star-fuge method more? Also, is there any frozen star fish food?
Thanks

have a few CC stars in the fuge, Put one in the main tank, the shrimp will flip it over and start eating a leg. When the leg is gone, take the star out and put in fuge.

Then a few days or a week later, put a new star in and repeat process. This will let the star with the missin leg regenerate and heal up.

Sorta a sad process... lol
