I been looking thru Liveaquaria.com for different kinds of softys. for some reason i cant stop looking at the red tip tree coral. it looks nice and different. has anybody ever had one and there experiance with it. thanks
from what i have read they contain the algae zooxanthellae which is what most photosynthic corals use. i do know they require filter feeder foods a couple times a week.
Assuming we're talking about stereonepthya, they're partially photosynthetic. They obtain a portion of their energy needs that way, but not enough to be their sole source.
