I saw an ad in Tropical Fish Mag about Zaboga Live Rock. You can go to Zabogarock.com and see it for your self. Anyway, they want $150 shipping included for 50lbs of it. It looks awesome.

Anybody have any experience?

I am still a little new to this hobby. Looks like a nice piece to add. Let me know if you do get some and how it really looks

I will

I will

I am waiting on a tax refund to start my 90g reef. I will let you know if it looks good.

Also, does anybody konw if this would not be good for an SPS tank?

looks like Haitian lettuce rock. I orderd some that had a picture just like the one on that site. When I recieved it it looked nothing like the Picture.
It came with some decent shapes but overall the rock was junk.

I then orderd http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=876 and havent been happier in my selection.

I've tried alot of diff rocks and the lalo was the nicest so far. I still havent tried the TBS rock but when I upgrade to a 120 I plan to try it.

Dont be fooled by pictures, 90% of the time the rock you get never looks close.

What is TBS (Tonga Branch Slab?)

krazekajin,
Someone else brought this up a few days ago and I checked into it for myself. The rock "looks" good and the price is right. I have called and left several emails with Zabogarock.com to inquire about shipping method and have gotten no response. It seems to me a good business person would follow up with a customer. Do yourself a favor and do your business with RC sponsors and you will be much happier.

Thanks for all of your replies. Other than LiveAquaria and Tampabaysaltwater.com. Where is the best place to get great rock at a good price.

That picture looks an awful lot like the stuff listed on Ebay by "ereef1". I fell for it and bought 100 lbs. It took a week just to get it shipped after I payed for it. It is UNCURED live rock and it was all but dead by the time I got it. It took 3 weeks with weekly water changes out in my garage before I could put it in the tank. It smelled so bad it stunk up the house for the first week.

That web page doesn't list an address, but I would be willing to put money on it that this is the same guy out of Mirimar, FL. If you have the time and patience to cure the rock yourself, it is a good deal. If you are looking for cured rock that you can put in your tank, stay far, far away.

BTW, I purchased this right before Christmas. It is still in my tank and I am pretty happy with it. It just took forever to come around. The only hitchiker was a small tube worm.
