Has Anyone ever cultured their own live phytoplankton?

I was thinking about setting something like this up. Has or does anyone currently run anything like this? If you do have something like this can you post some pics?

Vince was doing this at one point in time. Dosen't now but i'm sure he could help you out. I don't think he will be around till Sunday night tho.

i didnt do phyto, i did Zoolplankton...rodifiers...it wasnt ecinomical to do phyto since it is so very cheep vs growing and all i would be doing with is was feeding the rodi's anyways.

I was mostly interested in the challange.. LOL Why do rotifers? What do you feed the rotifers to? I guess this opens up more I can research.. Thanks
