Has anyone ever seen algae like this? Pic

This is some algae that ranges from pink to red. It's darkest and thickest nearest to the MP10 flow. It is definitely not dinoflagellates or cyanobacteria.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hard to say from your pix as it is not in focus. Could be the beginning of hair algae or hydroids. It doesn't look like anything that you would want in your tank though.

Here's a slightly better one. I think this might be the best that I can do with my phone:

Still can't tell but it isn't attractive and seems to be coating your rock. Usually stuff like this will kill whatever is underneath it so your rock will lose the purple color. I would attempt to get rid of it if I were you.

I added some chestnut (turbinid) snails that are ripping through it admirably. They are definitely the best snails I've ever had. I am also beginning to use Nualgi, as well as keeping my phosphate absorbing media fresh and changing the water frequently. Things are definitely improving!
