I had a duncan in my 75g for several years. I bought it when it was only a couple of heads and the base was skinny. As it has grown the base has gotten larger and larger to support the heads. When I moved it to my 210g it seems as though part of the base looked like it would have started encrusting out if it is allowed to.
My question is: if I glue it to a large rock and leave it there, will it encrust that rock and start up new duncan colonies or will it only sprout heads from an existing colony? If anyone has done this, do you have pics?
