I just noticed this on my Xenias… I don’t know what it is.. but it started at the trunk of one of the heads as a Yellowish spot.. and now that head it completely gone. I started seeing the same things on my other stalks of Xenias…and I have no idea whats going on.

All my parameters are normal except for the ammonia which might be at .5ppm due to the loss of a Kole Tang(I think he’s dead cauzz I haven’t seen him in a few days and I cant really get to behind the rocks.. Please advice on what I need to do.. I’ve never had to deal with any Coral Diseases and I have no clue what to do.. should I take out the xenias to save the other corals? I’m doing a 1/3 water change tonight.. hopefully it’ll help a bit.

Not new stalks..

Not new stalks..

that the best i can seem to take wiht my camera... and cut and adjusted the image quality a bit to get under the 50KB limit for this site..

They are definitely NOT new stalks.. because those yellow spots are where there were used to be stalks and now they are gone.. and it seems to be spreading to all the other ones..

From my experience Xenia seems to 'walk' around the tank. From what I can tell from your pics it looks like that is a 'foot' that will soon lay over and attach to a rock/glass/sand...etc.

Two other possibilities are either:
1. it's self propagating itself
2. One of your fish is eating some polyps.
