Has anyone tried LSE metal halides?

I just bought new 400 W Hamilton Bulbs and I happened to come accross some really cheap bulbs online they are off an ebay store called LSE and you can get a pair of 400 W bulbs for $40.

THat sound extremely cheap, almost too good to be true it may be worth a try once the exisating lights go out. Just wondering if anyone has used them.

Bump, no one has ever used these bulbs? How about any other cheaper bulbs than your standard 70 a pop

Two things apply here, I would think...

1 - You (most often) get what you pay for.
2 - Given the way reefers hunt for corners and costs to (safely) cut, the silence doesn't seem to indicate good things.

I've seen this vendor as well. It reminds me a lot of the company that sold the Chinese made light fixtures (150W HQI with T5's) on eBay a couple of years ago for around 50% of the going price. People soon found out why.

Then again, maybe this company is just new and no one has tried them yet.
