please let me know if like using DT's because i just started using it and i want to know if anyone has had problems?

As long as its fresh- good stuff!!

Once, i received an old bottle that was rotten and smelt horrid.

I think overall, you will hear that a large majority of people here use DTs, or Homegrown phyto.
Great for all the microfauna in your tank.

I really like DTs. It is truly live, and a Hawaiian feather duster I had (2" crown) loved the stuff -- he would open up wide every time I would dose the stuff.

All the bottles come with "good until" dates -- watch those, because the nutrition value lowers after those dates (as the nutrition is used up by the algae).

Some unethical shops will remove those stickers with the dates on, and sell the DTs when it is old, and really stinky (had that happen once). I still used it, and it still worked, but it wasn't as nice as the fresh stuff.

DT's is the "standard" for live phyto in this hobby - just about everyone uses it, and you can't go wrong with it, as far as I know -- I use it and think it's great.

I love DT's Phyto. I have been using it for a long time. As far as the smell, even a new bottle has a wicked smell. I dose it around every 3 days or so. I also use Reef Solution about twice a week.

ive used it and honestly have noticed no effects, i used it for about half a year and couldnt see an changes

DT's Phyoto is for filter feeders like Feather Dusters....Ect. If you dont have any filter feeders in the tank, its kinda pointless to use it.

i noticed a difference when i started using it. my corals started open up and my xenia started pulsating again. i heard from some people it causes algae and red slime but i thought it was because they over used it. also about the smell. i got it fresh off the shopment and i shake it twice a day and haven't had the smell yet. i dont know about most shops but my shop doesnt do that. we sell the stuff but i never asked any of them if it works. the guy from doctor g's came to my shop an showed us a slide with his phyto and we saw in moving, but the slide was prepared before he came to the shop so i had to take his word for it that this is what is in the bottle. but everything i saw a read showed the water should be green. i didnt like how clear it was and i noticed that the corals reacted more to dt's. i wish i could start my own culture but i dont have the room of the time to do so. school keeps my really busy :(. thanks...

To be honest, I get the same effect I used to get with DT's (corals perk up a bit for a limited time) when I hit rocks with a turkey baster as part of my normal routine. The corals like that stuff too. :)

Yep mine seem to like that turkey baster dusting as well. I did use DT's for a while, but stopped after a while.
