I think I am about ready to fill my 180 RR tank up with salt water.:bounce3:

I just placed my final order,hopefully, for everything I need to get started.
All I like is my internal powerheads/wavemakers and the lighting.

So here it goes....
180 gallon display
75 gallon sump
50 gallon refugium
2- 10 gallon QT tanks with heaters,filters etc.
R.O. Diablo DCS200 Protein Skimmer
R.O. Diablo 10500 main return pump
R.O. Diablo 5500 pump for refugium and manifold
2- Ehiem Jager 300 watt heaters
Ranco Heater controller
2- boxes of 200 gallon Instant Ocean salt
BRS Refractometer
Tunze Osmolator ATO
Spectrapure MaxCap 90gpd RO-DI
API Master Saltwater test kit
2-digital Thermometers
2-glass Thermometers
160 lbs of Special Grade Dry Sand
200lbs of Dry Reef Rock
And a partridge in a pear tree.

I will be purchasing a pair of Jebao WP40's and a ATI 60" T5HO 8 bulb fixture
in a few months after the cycle is complete.

Anything missing that I may have overlooked to get this party started??

seems like you covered everything...lil surprised you didnt go with some sort of controller for this tank, seems you got everything else

I will get a controller later. But I have to save up the money for my lighting first.
I spent my wad on all the stuff to get the tank running.
Once its stable and able to support life, I will start researching novelties.
But lighting is going to hurt my wallet for sure. Even going the T5 route is going to set my back a grand or so.

Do you plan to use any filter socks or other type of filter?

I had to sacrifice some living room space in order to get it in. I basically built a divider wall for the fishroom and aquarium.
Not sure on all the livestock just yet. But I do want a healthy and plentiful reef more than fish. Of course, that all can change down the road as the tank matures.

All my plumbing is finished except my manifold. I plan to finish it up this week.
I have been waiting on my Diablo 10500 pump to arrive so I can put it as my main display pump and use my 5500 to run the fuge and manifold.

I am only going to use filter socks when needed. Not all the time.

I am learning patience as I go. I have been keeping South American Cichlids for many years. And this is my first journey into saltwater.
So it has been a learning experience. And I have learned that taking your time yields the best results.
I started this journey back in October. Its been four months and I still have no saltwater in the tank.

OT...I actually got done doing all the reef stuff and figured I would challenge myself to carpet a hex tank with Dwarf Baby Tears via HO setup. I threw some Madasgar Lace in there too and it's flowering already.

I kept mainly Green and Gold Severums with a Silver Arowana.
I also had some Blood Parrots and Green Terror.
Never had a planted tank before.

looks like u got it all covered! coming from a fellow noob who does his research lol. just set up a similar tank. 210 but its going to be a fowler. took me a few months to decide on and purchase all my equiptment. it sure is hard looking at an empty tank waiting. looks great tho. wish mine was an in wall with a fish room

You aint kidding. I left my leak test water in there just so I could run all my equipment and get the feel of what the tank was going to sound like with everything up and running. So far, the Herbie drains and DC motors are living up to expectations. Its really quiet.
