Hi guys this anemone was in very bad condition, I placed it in my tank yesterday afternoon and it seems was doing fine tips inflated, but today morning started doing this.

Any idea? think it was too late for it :S

Looks like the initial acclimation where the anemone deflates/inflates. Not unusual when first put in a tank.

I agree with Gary it is to soon to tell. Give it some time to settle in and get comfortable. Happy Reefing and Good Luck!!!!

It may not be unusual for it to deflate when initially introduced to a new tank but I would watch it very closely since the mouth is gaping and spewing stuff out.

Hehe cool thanks was weird cus there's also another BTA next to it that it's doing fine, this one seems better now mouth is normal.

Thanks

It appears to be acclimating to the new tank. The brown slimy stuff coming out is a little of its zooxanthellae. This is common when you take an anemone from one lighting setup and bring it to another - typically brighter - setup. Give it some time.

On an unrelated note I can clearly see more than two siphonoglyphs. Your anemone may be getting ready to split.

This may be a dumb question but what is siphonoglyphs and what am i look for my RBTA was lokking just like this yester day

My RBTA looked that bad after putting it in my tank.

Did this off/on for about 4-5 days.... since then its always been inflated and looking good

looks like I am in the minority here, but shortly after doing this, my RBTA died shortly there after. I hope all is going well though.

Any update on this? I'm facing a similar situation (although my RBTA's mouth isn't that wide open)

I just added a RBTA to my tank the 2 days ago. Both days it has come out during the day and been bubbled up and happy. Soon as the light click off it will start to deflate, go under the rocks, and expel some zoox.
