Have you ever impulse bought Zoanthids?

Have you ever impulse bought Zoanthids that you didn't know what they looked like open?

I was at a local reef shop and was in a mood to buy something...There where some zoas that had just been fraged...I mean JUST moments before we came in...I was chatting with the shop owner about how I was looking for Zoas that had POP:bigeyes: and how I liked really bright Zoanthids. He assured me that the recently fragged zoas where really pretty and bright...not one polyp on any of the frags where open...so I had to take his word for it.

He gave me a good deal on a small frag...and I was pretty excited to see them open up...it was like a mystery zoa...but the owner assured me they where pretty...

Well...they have started to slowly open up...and I guess he was truthful...The skirts on these zoas are REALLY bright..neon yellow....I really like them.

So the Poll is...have you ever impulse purchased Zoanthids without knowing what they looked like?

So am I...lol, I feel luck though...most of my impulse buys have turned out good...I had never impulse purchased something I had never seen prior...So this was a new expereince...I am just glad it turned out to be a good expereince.

I am surprised nobody voted for "This is a stupid Poll"...lol, I figured there would be at least one person that would have voted for that...lol

Just my luck, I'd get the plainest looking ones if I bought them closed.

every time the store i go to gets some in if i don't i will miss out and some one else will get them but he gets cool ones every other week as he knows i will get them lol i guess i am a sucker

if its a good deal. I'll probably end up picking them up lol. Alot of the times if i know im going to the lfs just for salt or something i wont even look lol cause i know ill get something if it catches my eye

Guilty of impulse buying but I have usually seen the frag, hence the impulse.

one of my lfs sells corals that are on their way out due to their terrible water parameters so i have purcahsed numerous zoas from them that wouldn't open (for cheap) only to get them home and find out they are amazing. so far i haven't lost out.
