Having a algae problem

I am having a algae problem bot sure what to do. All of my water perimeters are good, I have a 40 gallon breeder with a sol led light over the middle. The problem is that the only place the algae grows is directly under the light. Not sure what to do? (mostly hair algae)

Not sure if this is the reason....but I used to have a lot of hair algae. After running my skimmer for one week straight....the hair algae seems to have 90% disappeared from my tank.

Maybe a solution would be an Algae scrubber. Lots of people DIY with big space below tanks but some people have modified a Aqua Clear 70 or 110 to run one. The Algae scrubber gives a place for the algae to grow in hopes that the nutrients Algae likes is no longer (or at least minimized) in the main tank. I think use of a protein skimmer would also be a good solution.

Reduce your feeding and reduce the light to 8 hours per day. Report back in 2 weeks.

Turn the lights off sooner, reduce the amount you feed your tank and increase the water flow to the areas covered in algae. Always use ro/di water, that was the cause of all my algae issues, and if worse comes to worse get a sea hair( hair algae eating monsters)

What type of algae are we dealing with here? When you said that your parameters are "good" what does that actually mean? Can you post up your test results?
