Hawaiian Black Trigger? Reef Safe?

they get very very large and the one i had(donated to NEAQ)
was super active. being a planktivore,,i should be safe with corals, i believe.

Should be reef safe but you never know. We have 2 that are about 10 yrs. old in our 10,000 gallon system that are about 15" long and about 4" thick. Like triggerfish said, they get very very large and love to swim.

Thanks guys. WOW A 10,000gl. NICE:)

So I can add him to my 300gl in a few months then. Thats what I was wondering also. Thanks for the help. Do you have any Pics of your 10,000 tank?

IME they're more aggressive than the Xanthichthys triggers and probably more than most pinktails. They should still be fairly reef safe (though they may take care of shrimps and snails).

As Dave mentioned, these guys are extremely aggressive. In fact, I would go as far as saying they are an overly aggressive fish, especially when they hit 6"+.

i dont know wheather i would call a 10,000g a tank we ussually call those public aquariums but for short we'll keep it labled as a system.....lol
