Hawaiian feather dusters

New to these and I picked up a few. One of them was outside the soft tube. Kinda reddish. Will it die? It was attached to some mucus looking clump, all the tubes were, but today I woke up and the one without the tube had moved down away from the rest and was down by a rock base, still no tube, but it was moving it's worm body.

Is there a way I can move it to it's empty tube it abandoned?

Will it make a new tube?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it dying?

It most probably left it's tube due to stress.
It will make it's self a new housing out of the sand. I took the old one out, but I'm not sure if this is right to do. If they are really stressed they they will loose the feathery head next.

Just leave him alone and he will find where he likes and make up a new home:-)
