Hawkfish questions

Ok, I am slowly making the plans of stocking my 300 gallon tank, and I was wondering what would be better a Flame Hawk or Longnose Hawk. I want the longnose becuse they look cooler, but the wife wants a flamehawk becuase she used to have one growing up and claims it would play hide and seek with her around the tank and raves about its personality.

In a 300 is there a problem with both...i would'nt be adding them for about a month or so, but I just want to get some feedback now as to the pro's and con's of these 2 fish...

also can they live with triggers in a 300 gallon tank?

The tank will probably have the following, still kickin around ideas:
2 eels (snowflake and zebra)
2 or 3 triggers
Dwarf Lion
Valenti puffer and hawian blue puffer (both get 5 inches max)
and a blennie

and then...hmmm only time will tell

i love longnose hawkfish they are a absoulte favorite of mine. i wouldnt place triggers with hawks or dwarf lionfish. its a accident waiting to happen but then some have had success...

The Hawaiian Long Nose Hawk is my absolute favorite fish. Ours is full of personality and personally IMO much more attractive than the flame. Hawks and triggers sounds like lunch to me. I hope you win with the long nose. Much luck.

well...scratch that idea...i guess after doing more research the long nose hawk is out...not with triggers in the tank...I am going to try to find a full grown flame hawk, intorduce him first, then add small triggers after he is in the tank...
