HDR downtown Richmond canal walk

I don't normally do HDR stuff but I thought this particular location would be perfect with all the different colors and shadows etc.

pretty cool. How long where the exposures? Are the columns that blue or is that a color cast?

I'm normally not a big fan of HDR (understatement of the year) but it works here. My only nit would be that it doesn't 'feel' level to me.

I actually like how it doesnt feel level, it makes me feel like im about to fall into it. Great shot, the HDR definitely works in that picture.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying every image should be level. Because it's just a tad off it feels like (to me) a mistake vs. something deliberate. That's the only reason I mentioned it.

It was probably just a mistake. I didn't even really notice :) The lights are really that blue. It was a design project for the train station rennovation. It's really a cool looking little walkway. I talked with the architect and she said they really had a hard time getting the engineers to sign off on hanging that sculpture.

Edit: I see why it looks unlevel.. B/c the brick walkway narrows and therefore apppears angled down from far right to left. but if you look at the stones right at the bottom, they appear parallel with the frame of the shot.
