Head counts for ACJR GROUP BUY

I stumpled into an opportunity to purchase an AquaController Jr. at a pretty good price. I'll be buying it with or without a group buy but if we can get enough head counts it'll be sweeter for everyone.

This is not just for the BAR so please past the info on to any other reef club you know that may be interested.

THE PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPING TO YOUR DOOR.

1. ACJR Controller Backlite
2. Temp probe (I think this is standard anyways)
3. Stand PH Probe
4. Serial Port
5. DC8

If you wanna be even greedier and save a little more, organize a city wide GB ship it all to one location and have a single shipping charge.
I don't know how much saving it will be but we can confirm once we have a head count and we can decide on if you want to ship this way or not.

Payment will be made directly to the supplier. This person is also a long time RC member.

BTW: Did I mention no tax? The last time Elite and I was a click away from joining another GB for this but then we ended up getting tax which brought the price right back to where it started so we back out and the price before tax was even higher than this.

I use mine to control the temperature. I use it as a safety for the heater and it kicks fans on when the temp gets to high. Its also great for controll tights and suck. I have everything hooked up to mine which helps when I need to turn things off/on during cleaning.

The AC Jr (controller) with the DC8 (8 outlet) can control:
1. your lighting, and if you have your atinics separated from the main lights, you can get sunrise & sunset effect, if you have MH, you can even have the lights shutoff if the tank water temp gets too hot, so no problems like what we experienced with the last heatwave
2. your fans, you can have them come on by time or by temperature
3. your chiller
4. your heater
5. your calcium reactor
6. your kalk reactor, you can have it add base on pH or just dose on a regular basis
7. your circulation powerheads, alternating powerheads so you get a more random water movement

Whatever you can think of. Each of the 8 outlets are individually controlled by the AC Jr and you program it to do what you want. HTH It's a great unit, I have one already!

Microsoftie, I think of it this way. I would like the following equipment for my tank.

pH Controller - $89
Dual Stage Temp controller - $120
4 Good Timers and powerstrip - $60
total = $269.

For $255, the AquaJr can do all plus more.

I don't have Ca reactor, but I plan on getting one someday. In the meantime, constantly knowing the pH of my system is a good thing.

Also, buying this package is cheaper than buying the items individually. It's a good deal especially since I hardly see this package sold used.

On the downside, if your AquaJr conks out, you'll get a pretty expensive powerstrip.

The controller unit iself can be had for about 140-ish now a days. What really kills me is that the DC8 is only $75 if purchased as package but it's a whopping 175 if purchased by itself.

I'd mount the DC8 high up if I were you guys.
