Head loss ?

I don't get the head loss calculator thing at all. I'm buying a Phosban Reactor. It comes with 1/2 inch tube. I have to go up about 2ft. I would end up with four 90 degree elbows. I'm looking to get 30 to 40 gph. What should I be looking for as far as flow rate for a pump?

one that can do a little more than 30/40GPH at 2ft of head.
typically something like a maxijet 1200 is just fine for a reactor..

I don't get how. You have to put the pump into it. Also it doesn't go down to a 1/2". Am I missing something?

You may be overthinking this. Just buy a small powerhead, something like a synchra 0.5 or maxijet 1200 and valve it back if it's a bit too strong. Not clear why you'd be pumping up against two feet of head for a reactor though?
