heading to FL...

Hello I am a member of MASM of MIchigan. i am heading down to flordia for a vacation on the 28th of this month for 10 days.. i will be staying a little northwest of orlando, but have a car and plan on doing some visiting.. maybe snorkle in the key largo, and tampa aquarium.. can anybody give other pointers on cool reefkeeping things to do any nice LFS?? or something of that nature? thanks for any help

For a great sail/snorkel trip in Largo, I highly recommend http://www.morningstarcharters.com/

They have a nice 50' sailboat, and they only take out a max of 6 people. Costs about twice what the cattle boats do, but they'll take you further to a quiet reef, and it's a nice day out on the water. Last time I went, we did Molassess Reef and only 3 of us were snorkeling, the others were just there for the boat ride.

I prefer looe key if you have time to go further south. It was some of the best diving in florida. I also like how environmentally sensitive they are. they would not even let us off the boat with gloves! Good luck.
