Heading to Orlando

Hello ORCA and pardon the intrusion, but I'm heading to Orlando in 2 weeks and wanted to check out a few stores to hopefully bring back some stunning zoanthids/palythoas/crazy mushrooms. I won't have time to hit them all so could you guys recommend the top 5 or 6 to hit while I'm in town. I've already checked out the posted list of stores in your area but would like to narrow my search if I can with your help. I'm not into names or rarity, just healthy and colorful polyps will be my focus. If it's worth my while, I'll rent a car and drive within a 50 miles radius outside the Orlando area. Thanks.

Both Sea in the City and World Wide Corals have very nice selections.
If you want to drive to Tampa (90 miles) Fish and other Ichty Stuff is real nice too.
Have a good time while visiting. Will you be here for business or pleasure?

I visited them both last year. Are their any others you'd recomend?

I'm in town for 4 days and 3 nights. Getting down to Miami with limited time is going to be hard. I'm coming back for a visit later this summer and I will have more time to get around the state to visit other stores. Really looking forward to it.

Mostly pleasure and a little business. Looking forward to my God Daughter graduating from high school and visiting my buddy dad and his family.

Thanks again.

PS, just found this link http://southeasternreefconference.o-r-c-a.org/

How was the conference last year? I'm thinking about coming.

We only have SRC every other year and the last one was a wonderful time. This year promises to be even better....we have a number of great (and world renown) speakers, great raffle items, and a lot of exciting things going on....

Hope to see you there,

I thought your name looked familiar...I do remember your tank from TOTM. How much has it changed since then?

Not trying to sound cocky, but the tank reached what I called critical growth stage. All of the zoanthid, palythoa and mushroom colonies had covered every square inch of rock. One hour after the lights came on, you couldn't see any live rock in the tank due to excessive growth and great expansion, which was great, but many of the polyps were dying, fading or bleaching out as they grew down to the substrate and some weren't able to receive any light. I had to break down the entire system and start all over again. Thanks for asking.

MitchReef, thanks, I will be making plans to attend for sure now.
