Healthy fish from Liveaquaria?

Has anyone received good quality fish from Liveaquaria?

I havn't. From all the local fish stores, and trades from local people to me, I've NEVER had a fish die. Every single fish I've gotten from Liveaquaria has died within a day or two of receiving it (one arrived dead). a Tiny Pac blue tang, a green mand., a firefish, a sixline, even a green mathrix.... (most snails/crabs made it just fine)

I really doubt it's anything I'm doing. I've always used the drip method to acclimate fish. I go very slow and do it "by the book". I've also put them into 2 separate reef tanks.

I do weekly water changes, test my water often and my tanks are stable.

The first shipment I let them know the fish (green mandarin and sixline) died and they did issue credits to my account. This second shipment I don't think I will even bother to let them know. I don't think I'd order from them again.

My dry goods orders from DFS have always gone well, but not with LiveAquaria.com .

Dear BlitzK,

We're sorry to hear about the poor experience you've had with your past orders.
The health of the fish we ship is as much of a concern to us as it is to you. We strive to provide the healthiest fish in the industry, and apologize that the specimens you've received didn't survive in your tank. We are always more than willing to compensate our customers for the problems they incur, and ask that you please contact us as soon as possible when these problems do happen.
Please contact our customer service department regarding the issues you've had. We will be more than happy to discuss what has happened, and assist you in anyway we can.

Sincerely,

Greg V.

I've ordered fish from LA and still have them in my tank and they are doing very well. In fact, I've had better luck with fish from LA than from any other LFS I've bought fish from.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with LiveAquaria and so far have had excellent luck with them. Out of two large orders we've only had a peppermint cleaner shrimp and a RBTA not make it through the 4 week QT (LA recommends 2 weeks but I feel safer with 4 weeks). A 2 minute phone call resulted in a credit back to our credit card. Customer support is incredible as is the selection and shipping/packaging.

LiveAquaria.com will be getting quite a bit more of our money in the future unless they slip drastically in the intervening months (doubtful).

They have been very good to me and on occasion when you have a problem they resolve it.

They have email, instant messenger, and long phone hours to get in contact with them... Who else does? Local stores are not even as easy to get a hold of...

Further, these conveniences bridge the sometimes scary gap between online sales and the customer. They have built enough trust with me that i shop there without hesitation.

Bottom line is, and they know this, I would never spend so much money with them if their customer service wasn't the best.

I have ordered almost everything for my tank from drfostersmith or for live stuff from liveaquaria. probally like $6000 from drfostersmith and like $2500 worth of stuff from liveaquaria

i love that place and have tryed several other places and they are not even satisfatory compared to drfostersmith and liveaquaris

I've order fish from several different places and without exception, the fish I've gotten from Liveaquaria have been the best. I go there first now for all my fish.

Live Aquaria provides the best customer service I've ever had! Most of the livestock I have gotten from them has been great. That being said, I do think they are selling some things too young. I've really had to baby the tank bred clowns and tiny hippos I got from them. Luckily, I have a QT and can feed them baby brine. I don't think they would have made it being put straight into a big tank (I know the clowns would not have).

We have gotten the majority of our livesock (fish, shrimp, snails) from LiveAquaria and have never had any problems. As a matter of fact we will not buy from our LFS again. The fish we have gotten from our LFS have died and have no guarantees, so we lost the $$ we paid when the fish died 2 days after getting them. None of the fish we got from LA died, and were much better quality than we could find at our LFS, all have been very healthy and beautiful fish!

I recently got a porites and X-mas tree worm rock, zooanthid rock, and mushroom rock from Divers den. I also ordered a sun coral, 2 peppermint shrimp, a yellow watchman goby, and some snails from live aquaria. All arrived in excellent shape. Further, the sun coral was huge, the goby was close to 3", and both peppermint shrimp were large. I was very pleased with everything I got. I will use them again when I have another large order.

On another note, the freshwater guppies I bought were very healthy as well.
