I have a red carpet, He has been in the tank for 6 months. His mouth is usually tight but over the past 4 days I have noticed 2 things sticking out. This is part of his mouth, it is not gaping or inside out. Almost like 2 soft fangs. Is this a stressed anenome?
It is a normal structure of anemones. It have to do with inflate and delate of the anemone. All anemones have this pair if organ. I forgot the name of this organ.
I have seen these structure, siphonoglyphs per Julian Sprung, in my anemones. Mostly, from stressed H. magnifica and S.gigantea. I have seen up to 3 pairs of these things in one of my H. magnifica.
