Healthy SPS or about to die?

So I have had a bunch of SPS coral in my tank now for about a month. The birds nest coral seemed to not like it and has since bleached out an died. Well I ignored the tank for about a 2-3 weeks with no water changes. Recently I started to notice 2 of my branching SPS sticking out there really tine white strings. I am not sure if it is distressed or what. I will update on water parameters when I get time to do them. I have been doing ca/alk to the tank and they all seem much happier since I started doing that. I am just wondering about the stringy tentacles. It goes back in after a while but it is very distressing since I have not seen that before. The polyps seem to be moderately extended during the day. I think they could be out more though. I have noticed they do it after I feed the tank with LRF. I am having issues uploading pictures but will post ASAP. Thanks

Hard to tell because the pics are kind of potato quality, but looks like hydroids maybe, I wouldnt say it's about to die, looks like it has some polyp extension. For acropora one of the best ways to tell if they are "happy" / stable is by observing nocturnal axial corallite extention, that and of course new growth.

Google image search hydroids on acropora and do some comparison
