Healthy?

I have gotten my first zoo in June (first picture) and now it has two new additions and it is Sep. To me it looks healthy and is multiplying but I want all your expert opinions.

Also I got it for free from my LFS. I figured with time, patients, and TLC I could create a colony from this guy and save myself the cost of buying a colony. LOL, I am a poor penny pinching reefer geek, it is sad I know.

Give me your thought and suggestions, please.

It has taken a long time is this normal?

Some zoas take longer, some grow like a weed. Give them more time, they may surprise you.

Those look healthy to me....Growth isn't a good indicator of health really....They can be extremely healthy and not grow or grow very slowly. Alot of times growth is an indicator of environment and water and light conditions. I know in my tank if I wait on water changes I get really slow growth......I know a lot of people have talked about zoanthids liking "dirty" water, I really don't find that to be the case in my situation. Just from the way they react to the lack of water changes.......It's all just my opinion.......Those do look good though.

you had one polyp now you have three,if they now each have two more polyps in the same time ya got nine and so on.........they look fine to me,but you might want to get them off the sand bed and put them closer to the light. my 2 cents....good luck
