heater controller probe

So I finished my STC-1000 controller, and was wondering if the probe inside the overflow is a good place for it. The heater is in the sump, and I have the probe submerged about half way.

I have mine in the DT. You'll get mixed opinions on it but it could also go in the sump as well. In fact it is probably a safer place since if the return pump quit running the DT will cool and call for the heater to run. The result would be a cooked sump.

the sump shouldnt cook since the heater's internal thermostat is a tad lower than what the controller is set to.
