Heater Controller Selection

Im new to the hobby going on 1 year now and I am starting to move to the phase of controlling and maintaining a reef tank.

I purchased a Seneye meter recently to basically measure PAR and I like the added features of monitoring temperature and PH ( I do not find the ph levels accurate though)

My question to yall, I need a product to fail safe my two heaters that sit in my Hang on Back fuge. I ultimately just want something that will cut them off if it goes over a certain temperature. Is there one product that I can use for this, Should I just use a splitter. If it starts to over heat I have plenty of ways to get home in time and fix the issue or I can summon someone to help resolve it.

Im not ready to purchase a full on controller until I upgrade this tank to a 100+ I will have to upgrade soon due to the purchase of a blue tang by my wife. She will not allow me to get rid of it causes shes attached so I will be making a large purchase soon and at that time I will pick up a full on controller, but in the mean time I need a safety blanket on this current setup.

Current Tank 39 Gallon Bowfront.
1 Hippo Tang
1 Miss barred Black Clown
1 White Lined Combtooth Blenny
1 Yasha Goby with Red Banded Snapping Shrimp

Ive looked at the Ranco and Maybe im misunderstanding it, does the ranco turn on and off constantly to heat the aquarium up? If that is the case the temperature controls on the heaters dont really matter correct?

I also have my heaters setup in a way where one is 78 Degress and one is 80.

The Ranco stays on as long as your tank stays at the target temperature and the heaters own temperature control is working correctly. If the heater's temp control fails and the heater is in the on position ( 9 out of 10 this is the common failure in heaters) it will heat up the tank and cause it to crash. The Ranco will shut the heater down when it goes over your target temperature.

You set the Ranco at your desired temp. and then you set your heaters above that so they're basically always on. The Ranco will do the rest. You can get heater probes with no thermostats.

I've just got a simply aquaria dual temp controller paired with a schego titanium heater and it works perfectly for me... One plug is for the heater and the other for a chiller/fan, it also warns you if you are over or under your required temperature.
