I have a 150w Jager enim heater for about 1.5 yrs

My tank temp dropped to 74 from 78.5 that i setted it with RKL and the heater is lit on (orange light) but the tube is not heat even i cranked higer temp and it does nothing

How to fix or Is it d e a d ?

Lucky i have back up heater and its slowly raising temp..

Sounds dead to me. I would just replace. Small price to pay for your tank. I had the same problems with those stealth heaters. Finally got fed up and bought the jagers. No problems with them on my RKL. (knock on wood)

I’m using my experience with a Reefkeeper II PC8…..it did the same thing with the two 300 watt heaters I was running. The light was “on” in the heater, but no heat. I think it’s a problem with the PC modules. I fixed my “problem” by buying an expansion slot that gets plugged in directly to a power source. I don’t think the PC modules can supply the wattage…that’s my guess.

EDIT TO ADD: The DA Expansion Socket shown will work with a RKL as well.

Thanks.

also I removed it, put it a big vase with water- cold in it, plug it into wall...it lit on but no heat-DEAD.

I'll buy other one..

Thanks
Jake
